Article 15 by Anubhav Sinha

                                             5,July, 2019 was very useful day for me because That day Students of department of English went to watch movie ‘Article 15’. Normally this movie we can compare like Crime dram film. Very well way presented all the things by Anubhav Sinha. This academic movie Screening organized by film screening committee and department of English ( MKBU) in collaboration with ‘Tanisq Jewellary’ ( Bhavnagar) at Maxus cinema. 

• About Title:-

                                           When I go to watch movie at that time normally I have question that Why this movie’s name Article 15. But at the end of the movie I got answer of that question. We know everything all around events but we don’t speak against them, we became discourage. Why? Because we have fear of power and fame. So should we speak against power? Well. It is your choice…but title of movie does much to know about it. 

                                            This movie’s directed by Anubhav Sinha and written by Gaaurav Solanki and Anubhav Sinha. This movie’s also inspired by Shocking true events and also representation of present time. Ayushmann Khurran was nicely starring film. This movie released in 28 June 2019.

• Indian Constitution:-

                                             “ Article 15” movie mostly based on Indian Constitution which is prohibits discrimination on various grounds off religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. Cleanth brooks famous quote:

                                                           “Life in Death, Death in Life”

                                               According to my point of view Brooks said truth because May be we die for something proving truth and give better life to another people So it’s not death but it’s real life, Another side When we lives without goal and dream it means that we are die , We live for die. In the film follows investigation that commences after three teenage girls go missing from a small village. The hero in the movie tries to solve all matter for rural area’s people. Sometime he forgave to take dinner and He can’t Sleep. It means that he has some ambition for work and judgments. I saw many government officer sit on the chair with post but they don’t work.

                                                 This movie reflected some past true events like as, here Anubhavsinha Including 2014 Badaun gange rape allegations and few years back in 2016 Una Flogging incident. Both are very serious cases but We could not do. Here Director interrupted very well way that many time Police system don’t work properly and How they are connected each other? It’s skillfully described by him.

• Why Brahmin as a hero…?

                                           We know that Brahman people known as a rich class people. They do wrong with law class people so here hero play roll as a Brahman community. Here through brahmin hero payed result of past system.

• Socio-political satire:-

                                            Opening of the movie one of the scene’s dialogues started with what is your name? And next question is from which caste? So we became independent many years ago but in culture it is work like as root form of human being. This movie also started with song of ‘Bob Dylan’ with scene of rural area. The Director here played roll as an author. I like One another thing that Opening of the movie with status of Baba sahib Ambedkar and books of Jawaharlal nehru In the movie Story lines working on the structure of society and classicism. The film explained that how power and hipper caste people established power on rural society. This film mentions one dialogue…

                               “ Hamne fir diye nahi jalaye, hamne andhera hi rehne diya ….”

                               “ Ato yaha roj ki kahani hai….”

                               “ a logo ka rojana he…”

It means that rich People can’t feel emotions and condition of another painful people. Who is ' a log ?'

• Discrimination & woman Condition:-

                                            One of the IPS officers Ayan Ranjan was posting in rural area of ‘lalgav’. He has achieved more education of law and degree but we know that everywhere education can’t work. When sometimes he confused to take decisions at that time he asked his wife also. Here woman always appreciate for take right decision to him. So she played widely roll in him life and both are love echo her. Mostly film working on background of village. We got freedom although Some people face problem untouchability , reservations and castisism. Here I found in one of the scene that low caste people don’t drink water with rich class. They behaved different way.

• Police System:-

                                                In the movie one of the policeman often he give biscuits to dog and he take care of its but When cases of people they can’t help them. What is need of law? So When I watched movie at that time pop up question in my mind that what is need of protection and police system? Mostly some of the film described police system was good system but here something different. One reference of Raja Ram Mohan Roy put in movie. Police system pressured of doctor and making wrong report during postmortem. Another putting mythical reference of ‘Brahma’. Brahma is known god for balance of the world. Here one dialogue is…. “ aap Santulan mat bagadiye barahma baraber kardenge…” Another reference is “ Dag ache he”. So really here suitable that dialogue? Which dag? What can be done to get rid of it ? I liked one thought in movie which was broken all the system.

• Language of camera and Frame of the film:-

                                          Anubhav Sinha has good art of representation with symbolically. When, Where, Why and how to focus camera? It’s another language of camera. There are need to full close and movement of camera with proper angle. So audience can understand without dialogue and language. As a director he created wonderful frame of the film. I like some scene of greenery farm of wheat and hanging two girls under the tree. It is thriller types scene which vibrated our heart also.

• Conclusion:-

At the end of the movie we get many strength and messages also We get lot of enjoy there. We learnt something new from there. According to my point of view we all are IPS officer Ayan Ranjan and we have power to speak against any system.
