Thinking activity on " The Scarlet Letter " with " Kya Kehna" movie

Hello reader!
Welcome to my blog.
Here I want to Share my view on questions. So let's start our journey of learning together...

This blog task is part of academic  movie screening which given by Heena ma'am...

  • About Scarlet Letter:-

' Scarlet Letter ' was historical fiction by American writer Nathanniel Hawthorne. This novel's setting in puritan  settlement in time of 1642 at Bostan city. This novel concern around some characters like, Hester, Pearl,Roger Chillingworth and Arthur Dimmesdale. Generally all the plots of the novel leads by Heater. She is beautiful young lady whose husband missing for over years then she became mother of Pearl without marriage of anybody so that Society announced of as a " Adultery ". At the end of the novel Dimmesdale climbs on the scaffold and he also confesses in front of everybody of his guilty. This novel try to change meaning of adultery through character of Hester. This novel reprented themes of legalism, sin and guilt.

  • About " Kya Kehna ":-

'Kya Kehna' movie is a 2000 Indian Hindi drama film directed by Kundan Shah.  'Kya Kehna'  film dealt with the taboo issue of pre-marital pregnancy and the views of society. The soundtrack of the film contains 8 songs. The music is given by Rajesh Roshan, with lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri. Here Character of Priya same play as a roll on Hester. How as a woman faced struggle of society it's clearly describe here.

Que.:- 1) What are the names of the protagonists in both works ?

Ans.:-

Hester Prynne was the protagonist of the novel because all plots and incidence happening around herself. She was also wearing  of the Scarlet Letter " A ". So that novelist gave that title of the book. At the end of the novel she Struggle a lot in front of Society. In the Novel Hester also married with scholar Chillingworth but She affair with Dimmesdale at America after that she became mother of Pearl.

Same theme happening in the movie, Priya Bakshi was central character and protagonist of the film. When She was studying in collage at that time she affair with Rahul after that pre- married she became pregnant so that family and society never accepts her. She struggle a lot in front of society. Another different thing is in the movie is that Priya has one friend Ajay who secretly fall in love with Priya and he also help a lot in painful condition. So that it's not happening with Hester.

Que.:-2) What is the role played by Society in Hester's life ?

Ans.:-

In the novel we know that Society never accept adultery of Hester. When Hester does not ready to say about child's father name at that time there reflected mind of puritan people. Moreover, The Puritan Society  forcefully wearing Scarlet Letter of " A ". It's Means that society as a women gave punishment of adultery of herself. But looking in their society we can find that They all are always force that type people to live in specific types of taboo. Puritan Society also ordered to her live in outside of particular town with her daughter Pearl. Thus during that time Society think that Hester was not moral and good women.

Que.:-3) What is the role played by Society in Priya's life ?

Ans.:-

In the movie Pre- married Priya became pregnant. So in the Patriarchal family could not bear that. Same happening with Priya. Firstly Priya's father request to rich family's son of Rahul for married her because her father had question of fame. However, He dined to married with her and he said about abortion. but Priya don't ready to do this. So her struggle started from family, collage and society. She faced many problem during Pregnant time. In the movie society believed that Priya was not good girl.

Que.:-4) Compare and contrast " The Scaffold scene in the Scarlet Letter " and " a year end performance in Kya kehna " in which a group of students performs a play  on Priya and her pregnancy.

Ans.:-

In the novel Hester as a beautiful young women who has came into new world where society divided her self from community and they all in front of her. Another thing is that When Arthur Dimmesdale increased the platform in a half hearted for accept his work of sin. Moreover Hawthorne's try to knowing about Hester's scarlet letter. So that in the novel Scaffold scene was play whopping role.

In the movie only one scaffold scene when one play performance which played by her collage's students. but we know that after speech of Priya  all audience felt pity for her. She mentioned one point on her speech that woman character do suicide for reason of pregnant it's not right and she connected her own story with there.

Que.:-5) What are the reasons that Arthur Dimmesdale and Rahul do not come forward to accept their fatherhood? How do you they differ and what are the similarities ?

Ans.:-

In the novel Arthur Dimmesdale had fear of society and religion because he many time talked about morality but when society know reality of Arthur so for him live in society is difficult. In the movie Rahul was playboy type character and he was a student of college. I noticed one things that Rahul don't truly love of Priya but he say that by mistake she became pregnant. Another reason is Rahul came from rich family and Priya came from middle class family so his mother say that she is not appropriate for married with him. But in the novel Dimmesdale is ready to accept her fatherhood after knowing all kind of things. but in the movie Rahul remaining neutral so that I can say that Rahul's love is lust of body, not true love with Priya.

Que.:-6) What is the role played by Rahul's mother in Priya's life ? Why do you think she wants to take revenge on Priya ?

Ans.:-

We know that everybody lives life with some objectives. Here in the movie Rahul's mother has mentality that Priya wants to marry with her son Rahul because Priya wants to high status in society and she has ambition to make of own property and money through marry. We know that rich people live in particular mentality and with fear of loss also. After she know that Priya became pregnant so she denied for married strictly. His mother try to proves that Priya's  is not good girl and her family was not good. Another thing his mother has power and money so that she ability to do anything.

Que.:-7) Write note on the class difference in "Kya Kehna".

Ans.:-

Movie also reflected that things through clothes, houses and lifestyle. In the movie Protagonists Rahul belongs to rich family and Priya belongs to middle class family. We know that love has not wall of class but here I can find when Priya became pregnant and he refused to marry with her. It's reflected class difference. Another thing When Rahul came Priya's house at that time all family members sit together without hesitation but when her father and brother went to Rahul's house they didn't sit together.Rich people mostly  fight for pride rather than middle class people.

Que.:-8 ) Why do you think the director has lifted the character of Ajay to the ideal state ? Is it possible in real life ? what are the reasons for your Yes or No ?

Ans.:-

In the movie character of Ajay is good role played but It's not possible in real life because Our society never give permission for there. We know that Movie is reflection of our society but it doesn't means that all such kind of things happening in real life. We can't completed our life even three hours. Many time I feel that when We also help girl without perspective although people talked about us. So we don't became Ajay because I do not help and married with one child of mother like Ajay.

Que.:-9) Write a critical note on the end of the movie and novel. Why do you think the novelist has not given a happy ending ?

Ans.:-

End of the novel also applicable because we find in real life example but End of the movie is happy ending, here question is that what happen then married of Priya and Ajay ? It's not described in the movie. We know that our present society not accept when we do something wrong. In the novel Dimmesdale broken sense of guilt and publicly confesses his adultery. Movie is happy ending while novel hasn't. Another thing is that novelist try to present time of puritan society. So that movie put emphasis on the idealization of everything and novel put reality of puritan society.

Que.10) How do you see Hester and Priya as Individuals?

Ans.:-

I like in both characters is that both are courageously fight against society. They describe more stronger rather than male.Hester has only one option that birth of child and struggle as a single way but Priya has extra option is abortion but she decide to give birth of baby and became mother of child. One difference is that Hester spends her life for care taker of Pearl while Priya decided to marry with Ajay ans started new journey of life.

I hope you enjoyed a lot read in my blog...

Thank you...

Thinking activity on : "The old man and Sea" by Earnest Hemingway.

Hello reader!
Welcome to my blog.
Here I want to Share my view on questions. So let's start our journey of learning together...

  • About this novella :-

" The old man and the sea " is written by Earnest Hemingway. This short novella worked surrounding chief three characters like as, Old man ( Santiago ), Manolin and Marlin. It's a story of battle between an aging. This Short novel started with Santiago having gone 84 days without catching a fish So that he felt unluckiness of himself. Manolin has been forbidden by his parents to sail with him. He also helped a lot of Santiago's like  he hauling his fishing gear, preparing food...etc. but at the end of the novel he get one large fish Marlin. May be 18 feet from nose to tail that fish and they promise to fish together once again. Here writer used symbolic way marlin, boy, struggle with shark, dream of lion..etc.

  • About Ernest Hemingway :-

He was famous  American short story writer, journalist, novelist and sportsman. Mostly his work on adventurous life style and economic system. His work between mid-1920s and the mid-1950s. He also won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1954. He published seven novels, Six short story collections and three non- fiction works.

  • Here are some questions with related " The old man and the sea " which given by Heena Ma'am :-

Que.:-1) Can you mark a critical phase of your life ?

Ans.:-

Yes, We know that Life is a continuous progress. We all grow, develop and mature with a time and we all continue to move on in life. Some might be even skip to entire stages completely without learning the important lessons from life. What’s true for all of us is that there are a number of distinct stages of life we go through once the time is ready. These stages are experienced by all humans throughout the course of their life.

I think, life always give new strength through experience. Here I will try to share one of the my experience which critical phase of my life. When I was studying in 12th stranded at that time my life take my test of decision. One side my board exam of 12th stared and another side my parents do preparation of my marriage life. I confused that time what's right decision for me career or marriage ? Same as that time I had stage of deep fever into mind. I remaining in hospital 20 days without any kind of things. I felt that my death is near. So I couldn't understood What's do I in that condition ? because all the things happening together that in first time my life. But I fought in front of all condition and I also crossed all limitations. Firstly I think, pay attention on better heath, secondly career then marriage life. It's turning point of my life. Still present time I am taking challenges same as old man.

Que.:-2) Do you have any such person whom you recall in the crisis ?

Ans.:-

Yes, According to my points of view when time of suffering and problem at that time our mind goes blank and we can't think about right decision. I have good two shoulder where I cry & share everything with them, one is my friend and  another is my sweetheart. Sometime I do work on wrong path so they stop me for doing that. Sometime I have not any solution of the problem at that time I recall them. So They both are wings of my life.

Que.:-3) What is the importance of that person? Why ?

Ans.:-

Having a relationship is part of the human being. While we think about importance of person because they make you feel wanted and safe. Another thing that as a human being we always need to help from other person. We have same aspects from family, collages, friend, job...etc. Here in the novella character of old man and Manolin seldom help each other's life. When we lost importance & loving person at that time we can understand importance of that person and we have only following types feeling and emotion. So let's became helpful and careful.

Que.:-4) What is the importance of dream of lions in the novel ?

Ans.:-

Santiago's dreams of lions on the beaches of Africa which he saw when he was a boy on a ship that sailed and fished the coast of Africa. The lions symbolize Santiago's lost youth as well as his pride. Santiago's love for the lions which are fierce predators, also mirrors his relationship with the marlin, whom he loves but whose death he feels is necessary to his survival. In this way, the lions as also symbolize Santiago's affinity with nature. Now that Santiago is no longer young, and has lost his friends, family, and strength, he sees the lions only in his dreams. Santiago's dreams of the lions at the end of the novella suggest that in triumphing over the marlin, he has undergone his own rejuvenation.

Que.:-5) Do you have any such scene or image you frequently like to visit ?

Ans.:-

Yes, I like to watched sunset and sunrise on seashore, greenery mountain and farm because from there I always get some energy for doing something happly. When I feel something bad at that time I prefer to visit some natural places where birds are singing and coldly wind flowing to touch my cheek. There are I get refreshing.

Que.:- 6) What is the reason of your obsession for that scene ?

Ans.:-

When I first read this story, I found my mind wandering, and commented “Either my attention span is gone, or this starts a little slow.” so I’m going to say that Hemingway could have started this stronger. These scenes might serve some set-up purpose, but I’m not sure how necessary they were. It sets up the relationship with the boy, the Old Man’s world, how he is seen by other fisherman and the fishing industry, but there is little conflict, and the conflict doesn’t change. At the end of the novel The boy sees Santiago sleeping with his wounds. Crying, he rushes off to get Santiago coffee. He rushes past fishermen measuring Santiago’s fish, in awe of its size. They ask the boy how Santiago is, and say the fish was eighteen feet long. The boy gets coffee at the store, and the owner passes his sympathies to Santiago.
So here, I said that there are obsession of oldman is that love,self-deception,talent,Opportunity,defeats,success, powerlessness, sacrifice, capability...etc.

Que.:-7) Replace the old man with yourself. How would be the approach if you fail like the old man in life ?

Ans.:-

If I have as a place of old man so First of all I  will fail to handle all condition which convey by old man. If I am a old man so I used some techniques and tools for fishing. Moreover, I have to say that may be I go with Manolin in fishing rather than going alone. At the end I will get some inspiration, courage from the old man.

Thank you...

Girish Karnad : The Artist, the citizen and the Question of Truth.

  • Introduction:-

Girish Karnad is one of the influential playwrights in modern time. His drama has become employed imagination, innovation and craftsmanship. He received Jnanapith award, honored by Padma Bhushan. He also won the Sahitya Akademi award. Girish Karnad wants to be a modern poet, but he is destined to become a playwright. Many work has been done in the field of drama since the 1980 's. Especially, with the advent of playwrights such as Girish Karnad, Vijay Tendulkar, Mohan Rakesh, Badal Sarkar, dramas written in English in India are starting to attract people.

Girish Karnad's Hayarkadana is based on Thomas Mann's "Transposed Heads" story. This is based on the version of the story of vate panchavimshati. (The play of Girish Karnad: the development of Girish Karnad as a playwright) But Karnad is heavily dependent on Thomas Mann 's story. In Hayavadana, Canard wants us to suggest to us that the solution of King Vikram does not solve the problem. In fact, it starts when it seems that the actual problem has been solved. This may be the reason he gave up the version of the veterinarian panchavimshati with the theme of "incest". At the same time, he is also very different from Thomas Man's story.

As a playwright, Girish Karnad 's successful career drama is Yayati. In 1960, Canadians planned to leave India to Oxford, and for three years they were in violation of his parents' hope as a scholar of Rhodes. Therefore play is related to the sacrifice of the old generation of the old generation. Unlike other play, Priya Adarkar first translated the play. This has served this purpose until I feel Girish Karnad needs to translate in 2008. In fact, he does not want to touch the drama, this is his "youth" work (when he was 22 years old), so now the script translation is Dr. Satyadev Dubey, Dr. Shreeram Lagoo, CR Simha's recommendation Correction and fulfillment.

  • What is Truth ?

According to my points of view Truth create terrible condition for wrong person but before i want to say that Truth is terrible. True people facing lost of problem. Even I can find truth character in Indian literature who leave family for Truth. For example, Harichandra and Taramati. We know story about their life and family. What do you think about them ? Is it doing right for truth ? We all are living in illusion of truth. Truth hasn't own definition because It's things of experience and feelings. We don't know what is real & Unreal ? What is truth & False ? but when we will talk fact about power, past events and history at that time we criticize by them and Sometime they create wrong issue in front of us. So Which is path proper for us.?

  • Hindu Hater:-

Girish Raghunathan Karnad played roll as a Karnataka films, as a actor and  director, writer and playwright, critic also during his life. His death at the age of 81 and his funeral held in Kalapalli Electro Dahargah at Bengaluru without rituals. In Indian tradition has many rituals for funeral. He abominated towards Hinduism, It's followers. Karnad who was expresses an unfavorable opinion to the biggest political parties and caste for example, he was publicly opposed to the BJP and Sangh Parivar and one upon a  time he referred Narendra Modi as a " Dangerous Man". It's difficult task to speak  against particular political person. He also ignored Indian cultures, traditions openly. I think we need to  this types of person because they said reality of specific parties and community but Our Society focus only bad side of him.

' Tughlaq ' play base on the life of Mahammad Bin Tughlaq and delhi saltanat. This play represented the story of Muslim ruler who known for imbecilities. Here Karnad compare story of Jawaharlal Nehru and Tughlaq. Both are as misunderstood geniuses. In Krnataka's celebrated " Tipu Jayanti" also. He talked on Tipu sultan's history and ruler times. Without known Karnataka's people celebrated festival. They don't know Who is tipu ?. It's chief problem of society.

  • Social Media :-

We are living in digital era so that we confuse to decide what's fact & reality ? Sometime we make mistake to chose reality. Nowadats news channels purchased by some one that's-why channel also follows on  them side. Same as happening with Girish Karnard's life. When he died at that time social media talking about his awards and  qualification. They don't say about his talents and critic writing. So here question is that What's roll of social media ? are they said about reality ? or Talking only post truth for spreed channel. We tied to scrolling news, at the end of scrolling we can't get reality.

Sairandhri by Vinod joshi

Vinod joshi is a post modern poet, writer and critic. He has amazing skill of arrangement of word in Gujarati language. He got many award's like Narshimehta award, Kalapi Award...etc. He has more knowledge about grammar structure, vocabulary and references. His one of the famous poem " Shikhandi " based on Mahabarata. Here I want to share my view on his Prabanth form poem " Sairandhri " based on character of Draupadi in Mahabharata. This poem was growing in Australia.
  • Structures:-
He published this poem in 2018.This metrical poem composed in prabandha form with seven cantos, 49 chapters and 1800 lines. It is based on Draupadi, one of the characters of Hindu epic Mahabharata. Here poet tried to explain Draupadi's feeling and thoughts. As a part of languages I can find that poet used figurative language, personification, meters, Chopai and Dohra in ' Sairandhri '. Here poet used Shrigar rasa also. Moreover I added that ' language always applied and each language has own valluations '. Normally creation of poem is reflection of poet's thoughts and reflection of background language. So here Vinod joshi born in rural area so He handed down his rural words in poem.

  • Sairandhri:-

We know that this poem based on Mahabharta. In Mahabharata one part of ' Virat Parva '. It's call ' Agnat Vas ' which living into hidden form and without self-sameness wherever. Here question is that What's purpose of remaining in hidden way ? Draupadi was daughter of king Drupad. She known with variuos name into  Mahabharta like as Krishna, Yagnaseni, Paanchali...etc. Behind her name responsible various story and problem. But here Vinod Joshi presented droupadi as lover of Karna. As a queen of Hastinapur Draupadi How she became Dashi during in Agnat Vas? and How she faced various problem in her life ?.  It's very interesting way interpreted by him.

  • Loss identity :-

Generally We find that Human being has hidden ambition of fame and power position. People many time work for praise and promotion. Even government make strictly rule of Adhar card. Government work to think about public identity. Why need identity in nowadays ? People prefer to die for save indistinguishably. Here Sairandhi has not proper one identity. She played vital roll in Mahabharata without one certain identity. She loss her identity with sacrifice of body for five male pandavas. Is it right for her ?  Same as happening in our present life also. When we separate away from our selves at that time we lost our root form and personal identity. In Mahabharta She don't raise question for her identity who has not freedom to express own desire. She can't protect herself with praise. In the poem she was powerful woman described by him. This poem explain about only one woman condition, emotions and feelings, not included male character here.

  • Love for Karna :-

In the poem different way interpreted love story of  Sairandhri and karna rather than Mahabharta's story. This poem represented that her first choice for love is Karna and second choice is Arjuna. So here Karna & Droupadi both are love each other but they don't share publicly. Same condition we find in our society. Many time young boy and girl has not proper platform to said who is their true lover ? Then they chose bad way for satisfaction. As a woman it is difficult task to say in Indian family . So here both are remain with hidden themselves. They don't tell to other about relationship. Karna was brave man although he had hidden his ownership. Poet's one objects of the create poem is that woman has to power to fight without hesitation.

Thank you...

Ode on oneness literature

Each and every things has grown from particular root but when each things started to develop at that time it's became shape of different things. We can see in nature that tree has capacity to produce seeds and every seeds has capacity to fabricate shape of trees. we can apply  same as in human being. Law of the nature same working in each and every places of the earth. Although What different between human being and another?. My point is that We all are one from nature but we are different through Creation.

Here I want to talk about law of oneness in literature. We  know that one subject connected to another subject like as, philosophy, psychology, geography...etc. It means that all subjects are connected each other. There are all topic presented with different styles but basic purpose has same. How are we becoming different rather than another ? through different personality ? through something new creation ?. For a concept of adding  a charm or to prove some point add for creative in it. Thus we get from discussion that one theme present in different creative forms.

In the modern epic poem of " The waste land " is best example of oneness literature. T.S Eliot used vivid references in the modern poem " The waste land ". He tried to say creative way the central ideas of sexual perversion and spirituality in the poem. He tried to pointed out  oneness of literature  in his essay. Same as in  Northrop Frye used theory of archetype in English literature. When we read English poem at that time  we find poet mostly used figurative language for express symbolic way. They all try to decorate language through oneness of literature. So let's we have look on the oneness of literature  through the similarity between T.S.Eliot's modern epic poem and Anton Chekhov's Short story of " A Joke ". Poem and Story both are leads towards sexual perversion.  He I put one of the stanza from ' The Waste land '

" And when we were children, staying at the archduke's,
My Cousin's , he took me out on a sled, And I was frightened.
He said, Marie, Marie, hold on tight. And down we went.
In the mountains, there you feel free."

This stanza represented nostalgic about woman Marie. When we read first time that stanza in the mind create one image of fear of Marie for sledding over the mountain. but here her cousin  gave power of encouragement for that. Another image create in mind that her cousin boosted to her for hidden sexual perversion also.

Same as I found in story of Anton Chekhov's " A joke ". Both have common central themes. There are only difference between in story and poem that the name of characters. In the story character of Nadia instead of Marie. Another difference is in the story Nadia's with her friend, not with cousin.  In the story Nadia don't able to decide that she was living in current time or dream. At the end of the story Nadia married with boy. So here question is that It's true love story or reflection of sexual perversion ?

This type story we can find in movies and TV serials also but all are presented with different versions. May be Chekhov's  short story " A joke " was translated as in Gujarati language " Nanakdi Mazak " in news paper of 'Gujarat Samachar'.

At the end of the discussion I want to say  that all literature's and languages have content as same but way of presenting in creative form.

Thank you...

The Wast land by T.S. Eliot

Here given task by Dilip Barad sir , So the link is given below:

  • About ' The Waste land ' :-

In modern era epic poem was very famous. During that time T.S.Eliot written one of the modern epic poem " The Waste Land". This epic poem divided into different five parts like as,

1) The Burial Of the Dead ( 76 Lines )
2) A game of Chess ( 96 Lines )
3) The Fire Sermon ( 139 Lines )
4) Death by Water ( 10 lines )
5) What the thunder Said ( 113 Lines )

" The Waste land " also represented the sexual perversion and spiritual degradation. This poem also difficult to understand because in the poem T.S.Eliot used various myths and  references with symbolic way. This poem presented writers stream of consciousness, first world war, industrialization, worried of atmosphere, globalization with Indian mythical ways.

Que.:-1)What are your views on the following image after reading 'The Waste Land'? Do you think that Eliot is regressive as compared to Nietzche's views? or Has Eliot achieved universality of thought by recalling mytho-historical answer to the contemporary malaise?

Ans.:-

According to my point of view I think that Fried-rich Nietzsche's has noble thought of Ubermensch and it is significant rather than the idea of T.S.Eliot.  Normally Eliot's thoughts related as regressive. Nowadays If Some people and specific groups are suggesting to joining with them. May be same experience with you. Right ? I will try to explain with example of religion for better understanding. Those type of group says for take to help in religions festival and activities for moral living. So that people be-fool through language and particular things. How can they leads towards morality and rituals?. Generally we found that those groups people who are involved themselves in sexual perversion and immoral things
( E.g. Baba - Babi ). Even I found in history that they became all the great followers of the god, goddess, baba and babies but they all had micro ambition of sexual perversion in corner of the heart. Here question is that Where is moral value ? So that here I can say that, that ideas are not working here.  Another thing that there are nothing like mystery and miracle in the present world. It is depend on own self also and how to define real concept of Spirituality ? It's different views each-other. If we believes in self control and trust in ourselves  So that no need to preferway of spirituality. In history proves also that Many figures who has famous for self controlling and doing good work for society also which lives their life happy and easier. Don't take personally it's my view.

Que.:-2) Prior to the speech, Gustaf Hellström of the Swedish Academy made these remarks:
What are your views regarding these comments? Is it true that giving free vent to the repressed 'primitive instinct' lead us to happy and satisfied life? or do you agree with Eliot's view that 'salvation of man lies in the preservation of the cultural tradition'?

Ans.:-

According to my opinion Free vent to the repressed primitive instinct will automatically leads towards anarchy. We don't create disorganization in the community and world.  Here in the epic poem I think Eliot has powerful ideas rather than Sigmund Freud. Another thing is that  We all are lives our lives with specific perspective, with discipline and with moral rituals. Although life became more appropriate and enjoyable. Thus here i don't agree with idea of Freud.

Que.:-3) Write about allusions to the Indian thoughts in 'The Waste Land'. (Where, How and Why are the Indian thoughts referred?)

Ans.:-

' The Waste Land ' poem was a combination of vivid languages and myths. So here I found  many references of the Indian ideas, river and story also like as,

  • Buddha's Sermon :-

When I read poem ' The Waste land ' into third part I found the one idea of 'Fire sermon and Buddha's sermon.  It presented liberation from suffering and peace of world.

  • River & Mountain :-

        " Ganga was sunken...
          ...... Over Himavat."

In this modern poem also Eliot used of Indian river and mountain like as Ganga & Himalaya. Here Ganga used for context of purgation and purification and Himalayas as a symbol of peace of mind and related with spirituality also.

  • Thunder :-

   " The jungle crouched.......
   .......Then spoke the thunder."

In the poem Eliot used thunder's reference from Upanisad aand vedas. One reference was akashvani of Prajapati. May be it is used symbolically as solutions of all problems.

  • Three " DA" :-

At the last part of the poem Eliot used three types of " Da ".

Da- Datt   ( Devote )
                Da- Dayadhvam (  Sympathy )
Da- Damyta ( Self Control )

Here Eliot used three types of ' Da ' for gave different messages to the community. These are put solution of the all problem in front of the world.

  • Shantih Mantra :-

This poem completed with that words of 'Shantih'. Eliot used Shantih mantra in the context of peace of the world. Peace leads to us new creation and hope. So here question is that why Eliot used Indian references in The Waste land ? may be I think that Waste land is not another land but Eliot interpreted bad condition of his country. So that He preferred to Indian references. Another reason is spiritual ideas more powerful in Indian literature also.

Thank you...

Dr. Atul Kanaiya : Reflective Thinking

When I studied in high school during that time one of the teacher taught in the class without proper method, materials and academic tools. He came in the class or reading all the paragraph of the unit then he don't explain but said ' you know everything 'so i don't waste my time '. Mostly students were sleepy in during his class. HImal Pandy : YOLO

  • What is life ?

    The Bible says,

"God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, that                                                    whoever believes in him may not perish, but have eternal life."

Here I want to say that Life is whopping topic. We can't conclude it in one bowl because  Life always connected with emotions, experiences and ending results. Each and every person face different types of struggles. I remember one thought of Kajal Oza Vaidya, She said,

" Every person has own storage of story and experience ".

Before,I talk about life, I want to say that What is Definition of life ? I listen many time by people, that is game played by god. Do you agree with this point ?

"Life is a fight, Life is a story.

Life is a song, Life is a dream.

Life is an illusion, Life is nothing but passion.

Life is love. Love is a puzzle and what not.

But most of all Life is what you make it."

Our session starred with brief introduction of Himal Pandya which given by Prof. Dilip Barad Sir. Hemal Pandya is poet, writer, Motivational Speaker also. He has good Skill of Interaction. He also talked on "YOLO" and Some real incidents of his life. His motive was that " Zindagi nahi milegi Dubara". It means that live your life with happiness.

  • Nick Vujicic:-

He explained with example of Nick Vujicic. His famous motivation video " No Arms, No Legs, No Worries...". We don't think that without leg and hand, We can't do anything. But this person become great motivational Speaker and he lives happy life with his family. He is father of two children. So my question is that Why we are become demotivate ? Why people prefer suicide ? Nick has not some body part although he lives happy life. What is condition of his parents during that time ? Can you imagine ? I will hope you can get some inspiration from Nick.

We can see condition of Peng in the picture. He has whooping business in China. How is it possible ? What's about condition of family and parents ?. His life story very serious but interesting. When we will feel that it's not other people's pain but own pain so that we can help other people. It means that We have need to empathy and Sympathy. Himal Pandya. well explain different between Sympathy and Empathy. When Peng started his business, he decided to open

" Half man, Half Price store..."

  • Life like as Movie:-
We can compare life with movie screening. In movie we find that hero struggle a lot at last breath but he/she can't preface suicide and discourage. We know that many things rotation in life like's, some part of enjoyable and some part struggle in life. Normally we used money for useless things. If we promise with ourselves, May be help a lot other needed person.

  • Current Example:-
Himal Pandya is one of the best example from them. He shared with us lots of struggle of his life. He started his story from Rajkot. When he was remain 9 days in comma. He faced 17 Shock and three operation into hospital. Here I don't put all the things of him. generally 'Shock' give invitation of death but Here shock is important for his life. He talked about of One couple when he was principle in 2008.

  • Satisfaction :-

One of the best way for better life is satisfaction from life. Normally we don't satisfied with life.We have more ambition. When it don't fulfill so that we choose wrong ways. We should say thanks to other for helping. While we  haven't mobile at that we feel some thing bad. but we don't think that we have another thing rather than mobile. It means that we can't understood which things we have. Same as became in relationship. We don't know who is packing our parachute ? We do good, We get good result but we do bad, We get bad. It is may be theory of 'Karma'. We all are living for bread and butter and  we live for life carving so why we dis-motivate ?

  • Conclusion:-

At the end of the session Himal Pandya talked on one  story of two students and padrovershi. It's well motivational story. He gave one message that We should have one shoulder for crying and he added one ' Hayati no Dakhlo". at the he sung a poem of Dhruv Bhatt " Ochintu koy mane...." We get lot of enjoyed and learnt something new that day. So let's live our life without depression and do help a lot other.

Thank you...
